TAMPA, Fla. (July 1, 2013) – Lou Prida, CPA and partner at Prida Guida & Company, was appointed as treasurer for the Gold Shield Foundation, Inc. His appointment was confirmed by the Foundation’s membership at their annual meeting December 10, 2013. Andres Prida, CPA and partner at Prida Guida and Company was appointed associate treasurer. The firm also provides monthly accounting services for the Foundation.
The Gold Shield Foundation was established in 1981 to ensure that families of firefighters and police officers killed in the line of duty in Hillsborough County receive early financial assistance and are guaranteed funds towards a college education. Currently, the Gold Shield Foundation extends its umbrella of protection to families of firefighters and police officers in seven nearby counties.
