As the president of Prida Guida & Perez, P.A., Lou Prida is responsible for the overall strategic direction of the firm as well as the day-to-day activities. He works alongside his partners to ensure the core values of the firm are reflected in the team members and the service provided to clients.
In addition to traditional accounting and tax professional services, Lou has extensive experience in small business consulting, merger and acquisition analysis, and tax and estate planning. He also has experience in tax representation before federal and state agencies. Prida is well practiced in the preparation of various applications regarding financial institution and holding company formation and financial institution mergers.
Prida received his Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Florida in 1972, magna cum laude. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants (FICPA) and the Institute of Business Appraisers (IBA). He served as director of the City of Tampa Internal Audit Department from 1983 to 1994. Prida currently serves on the board of directors of a financial institution and is a member of its loan committee. Additionally, Lou believes in serving and supporting the Tampa Bay community. He volunteers his time with several organizations and serves on the board of the Crisis Center of Tampa Bay.
