Daniel Hevia joined Prida Guida & Perez, P.A. in 2019 as an assurance and litigation shareholder. He has a wide range of experience working with private companies and nonprofit organizations. Dan has served as an accounting expert for several Florida state government agencies including the Department of Business & Professional Regulation, the Department of Financial Services and the Department of Health. He has also served as an expert in several accountants’ liability claims cases.
Dan is a Tampa native and a graduate of the University of South Florida. He is licensed as a CPA in both Florida and New York. He also holds a certification in financial forensics (CFF) and serves as a member of the American Institute of CPAs. Dan has held several national leadership roles, including chair of the National Peer Review Boards, and member of the Auditing Standards Boards, as well as the Governing Council. Dan is also a member of the Florida Institute of CPAs and has served on its Board of Governors in addition to chairing various statewide committees including peer review, state legislative policy and audit committees.
Dan is active in the community, having served as a chair and board member of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Tampa Bay and currently serves as a trustee of the Boys & Girls Clubs Foundation.
